Document Filing Toolkit — 6 weeks
Bringing order to thirty years of records
Challenge
A retired couple in their late sixties had accumulated thirty years of financial documents, property papers, medical records, and correspondence. They knew roughly where most things were, but had never built a consistent filing system. After a health scare, they felt urgency about getting organised — but found the task overwhelming to approach alone.
Process
We completed three in-home sessions over six weeks, working through one category of documents per session. We agreed on a structure together in the first session, then populated it in the second, and reviewed and finalised in the third. The couple were involved at every step — nothing was done without their understanding and agreement.
Outcome
A complete filing system — printed and digital — covering property, finance, health, and correspondence. Their adult daughter was given a copy and could navigate it independently. The couple has since made two updates to the system themselves using the maintenance guide provided.

Family Legacy Storytelling — 8 weeks
A family history captured before it was lost
Challenge
A 74-year-old woman whose family had moved between Northern Thailand and Southern China over three generations. Her grandchildren had little knowledge of the family's history prior to her parents' generation. She wanted to record what she knew before it became impossible to do so.
Process
Five sessions across eight weeks, with her granddaughter present for two of them. We worked through the family timeline chronologically, with guided questions to draw out specific memories. Old photographs were used as prompts in two sessions. Sessions were recorded with consent and transcribed between visits.
Outcome
A 38-page written keepsake document covering four generations, a full audio recording of the sessions, and a printed photo-referenced timeline. Copies were made for three family members. The granddaughter described it as something the family would have for generations.
